So I woke Up today with the sad news of Tina Turner passing away, Tina Turner’s Music has always been a big part of my, I really can’t remember a time in my life that Tina wasn’t playing somewhere in some of the best part’s of it.

My earliest memory’s of Tina was of hearing her through the radio and on TV, even before I was able to stand probably, her music was bigger than Elvis in the 80’s, Maybe only Michael Jackson was maybe played more.

But I would say that when I really got hooked was when I seen her appear in the film “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome’s”, The film is iconic for me on it’s own, but without Tina playing the perfect part of the ruthless ruler of Bartertown “Auntie Entity” the film would have never been so epic.

Tina’s Record’s kept hitting the charts, one after the other, just as they had most of her life,  But to be honest I wasn’t keeping track of her music, as I was listening to techno and stuff, that is until I was re-energised with watching again another epic film about her life called “What’s Love Got To Do With” detailing the cruelty of a dominating relationship between her and the infamous now Ike Turner.

The film had a lasting impact on me and is among one of my all time favourite films, although the actual Tina Turner doesn’t show up most of the movie, only providing a cameo
appearance, the fact that the whole film was non fiction and so detailed in it effect was enough to make me absolutely love it.

Needless to say I’m pretty heart broken at the news of the sad passing of Tina, I’d be playing her amazing music for a good while, as the sudden news of her passing has made me once again remember just how good it is, that might seem morbid to some, but that’s the truth, I went throught a similar phase with David Bowie, which I don’t think I’ve ever actually recovered from.

So I’ll be definitly be watching the 2021 Documentry “Tina” this week some time, be going over all the song I maybe have never heard and even giving a little prayer to the Queen of Rock along the way, Rest In Peace Tina, You will Always Be In Captain’s Heart along with all the other Greats
